Favourite time of day to get your practice in: All day every day, evening yoga is great for winding down.
Favourite post yoga snack: A smoothie with protein or just water.
On weekends I can be found: wandering – beaching, theatre-ing, hiking, smiling, Namaste-ing.
Favourite yoga pose – Warrior poses are always present in my classes, that feeling of being grounded serves as a reminder throughout the day, keeps me feeling balanced.
Personal Mantra – “I am enough”
How did you get into yoga – If you search right now for “Benefits of Yoga” you’ll see over 50! I was hesitant at first, then I started reading about other people’s experiences, noticing the differences before/after a session. So one day I downloaded an app and started practicing consistently, keeping an online diary for motivation; friends started asking for tips and i’d teach them what i knew. Its always pleasant to bond with other yogis and share our practice, so attending classes made it even easier to get into the lifestyle and deepen my practice.
What was your first class like – Tough, I was used to practicing on my own so the pace was different, it challenged me to be more consistent in my home practice.
What’s your favourite part of Breathe Studio – the feeling of community that resonates after each class and the overflowing support that creates life-long friends, I can’t wait to see how much we can grow together.
